Casa Ermelinda Freitas
Casa Ermelinda Freitas is a family company from Fernando Pó, in the municipality of Palmela, established in 1920 by Leonilde Freitas and today led by Leonor Freitas, the fourth generation of women at the head of the house. It began bottling in 1997, under the Terras do Pó brand, and since 2002 has bottled its entire production; it declares 550 hectares of vineyard, more than 8 million bottles a year and more than a thousand awards since 1999. The winemaker is Jaime Quendera.

History
- 1920Leonilde Freitas starts working the properties; the business passes to Germana Freitas and then to Manuel João de Freitas Júnior and Ermelinda Freitas.
- 1997First 8,000 bottles filled, under the Terras do Pó brand.
- 1999Launch of the Dona Ermelinda and Quinta da Mimosa brands.
- 2002With 100 hectares of vineyard, the house starts bottling its entire production.
- 2015Inauguration of the Adega Leonor Freitas.
- 2018Purchase of Quinta de Canivães, in the Douro Superior.
- 2020Centenary; European Producer of the Year at the Sommelier Wine Awards for the second year running.
